Ex Libris ‘Mountain of Books’ Stamp

‘Montaña de Libros’ Ex Libris Stamp.

A book (from the Latin liber, books) is a play printed, handwritten or illustrated on a series of sheets of paper, parchment, vellum or other material, bound together on one side (i.e. bound) and protected by covers. A book may deal with any subject. According to UNESCO’s definition, A book must have at least twenty-five sheets (49 pages), as twenty-four sheets or fewer would constitute a leaflet; and one to four pages are considered loose sheets (comprising one or two sheets).

Ex libris It is a Latin phrase which literally means ‘from the books of’, that is, a book taken from the collection of a public or private library. The ‘Ex Libris’ mountain of books is a mark of ownership that is usually placed on the inside front or back cover of a book. It bears the name of the owner of the copy or of the library that owns it.

The design is laser-engraved onto high-quality rubber, which ensures high-definition detail on our stamp. The relief of approximately 1 mm guarantees clean and clear impressions. We do not use the transparent polymer resins commonly employed by other manufacturers for this purpose.
