Ex Libris Faro

Ex Libris Faro stamp.

A lighthouse It is a light tower situated on the coast or on the mainland, serving as a reference point and a coastal or aerial warning for mariners. They are topped by one or two powerful lamps. The Spanish term derives from Ancient Greek (pharos), referring to the signal tower on the island of Faro, in Egypt.

Ex libris It is a Latin phrase which literally means ‘from the books of’, that is to say, a book taken from the collection of a public or private library. The ‘Ex Libris Faro’ is a mark of ownership that is usually placed on the back of a book’s cover. It bears the name of the owner of the copy or of the library to which it belongs.

The design is laser-engraved onto high-quality rubber, which ensures high-definition detail on our stamp. The relief of approximately 1 mm guarantees clean and clear impressions. We do not use the transparent polymer resins commonly employed by other manufacturers for this purpose.
